Chateau
du Perron was built in 1860 on the site of the original château
constructed for Archbishop Jacques Davy du Perron and his successors.
At under one hour's easy drive from either Cherbourg or Caen ferry ports,
it is ideally located for exploring this beautiful area of Normandy.
The house is situated within a delightfully secluded and beautiful 38 hectare park, overlooking a one-hectare lake, and is surrounded by century old trees and woodland.
Although the house is certainly spacious, families and friends will quickly relax and enjoy the family atmosphere of the comfortable rooms, and children will love exploring the house and grounds.
If you should feel the need to leave the château during your stay, you can choose from a large selection of long sandy beaches a short drive away, or cultural activities, good shops, historic towns and markets, or maybe even a day trip to the Channel Islands of Jersey or Guernsey. Périers, the closest town is 4kms away and has supermarkets, pharmacies, boulangeries, and a market every Saturday.
