Who are we ? 

We are  family team who came to France over 20 years ago, and have adapted this fine château as a secluded venue with a family atmosphere principally for Schools to introduce their pupils to France either for brief educational and cultural visits or with French tuition in mind. We know the area, speak the language and have intimate knowledge of a wide variety of those things essential to making the best of your visit to France. 

What do we do ? 

For Schools and Educational Groups   

We take School Groups for periods of between 3, 5 or 7 days according to demand, feed them, organise educational & cultural tours to suit their needs and keep them amused in the evenings according to their wishes. 

The centrepiece of this, is an enchanting Château built in 1860,  which is set in the middle of the countryside surrounded by woods and fields, and equipped to accommodate 52 people including their accompanying staff in very comfortable quarters, with a large communal dining room, grand salon and several smaller reception rooms for study or recreation. 
 

We use a Service Company based in England  to provide  everything you need from your Itinerary, Coach, Ferry, Visits to various places chosen by you or suggested by us, Full, Half Board or Self Catering. There is organised evening Entertainment from Discos , Orienteering or Educational Scavenger Hunts should you have any time left after completing your own educational programme. French tuition by qualified  French teachers is also available  - ask for the programme. 

For other categories i.e. - Families, Individuals celebrating, 
B & B, Seminars, Weddings etc 

Just a lovely place to conduct one's chosen idea to relax or celebrate ! The right price, the right place and surely the quietest location, all within one hours drive South of Cherbourg. 
 
 

They are Schools, principally, of all types who have the foresight to regularly organise trips to France as the ultimate introductory experience for any child in preparation for the ever more difficult futures ahead for these students. They come to visit the fantastic variety of interesting things - from 2nd World War Museums and the historic Landing Beaches to Cider making farms, the Bayeux Tapestry and many others - see Activities & Outings. 

They are individual People who like to meet in groups -  maybe singers or orchestral musicians, religous groups, painting students, birdwatchers,  fishermen or just simply people wishing to celebrate their Birthday or anniversary. 
 
 

Whoever they are, they come to one of the great places in this part of the world and only 3 1/2 hours from Portsmouth !
